Acupuncture & Women's Health Clinic in Dorking
Hi, I’m Elda.
Thank you for visiting my website and taking the time to read about who I am — and how I might be of service to you.
Everything that happens to us shapes who we are today — our choices, our path, our purpose.
For me, it all began with anxiety that became intense during my teenage years.
Thankfully, my grandmother — a nurse and a healer — would place her hands gently on certain points of my body. Within minutes, I’d feel a deep peacefulness settling in my chest. That’s when I first understood what healing felt like.
At 15, I knew.
I wanted to do what she did.
To help people feel better. To care.
To heal.
But first, I took what seemed like the “sensible” path — I wanted to make my parents proud and I loved writing. I studied English Literature, followed by a Master's in Scriptwriting at the London Film School, dreaming of one day becoming a writer.
Eventually, the seed planted at 15 began to grow again.
I trained in Remedial Massage (BTEC Level 5 at the London College of Sports Massage), eager to understand the body on a deeper level. That journey led to further training in:
And finally — with great joy — I committed myself to a 3.5-year degree in Acupuncture at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading. It felt like coming home — to a medicine that treats the root, not just the symptom, and that honours the connection between mind, body, and spirit.
In 2021, during the pandemic, my husband and I made a life-changing decision.
We left busy Richmond behind and moved to Dorking — drawn by the peace, the quiet, and the healing power of being surrounded by nature.
It was a time of great distress for many people, and I knew I wanted to help in the way I knew best — through hands-on care, listening, and acupuncture.
I had always dreamed of having my own clinic.
And here, in Dorking, that dream came true.
When I’m not in clinic, you’ll find me:
🐶 Walking my beagle, Eddie, through the Nower
🏊♀️ Swimming or at a Body Combat or Konga class at the Dorking Sports Leisure Centre
📖 Writing stories for children
Healing is my calling — and it would be my honour to support you on your journey.
BAA and BAF worked with Public Health England and the Office of National Statistics to raise the category of acupuncture from 3219 - the category of Health Associate, up to 2220 - the level of Osteopaths and Physiotherapists. All professional acupuncturists now belong in the category of Healthcare Professionals. This means that in the event of future Tiers of Lockdowns the clinic will be able to stay open.
